Men in the Mix presents its eighth annual fatherhood event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at the Montrose County Fairgrounds. This event provides dads, grandpas, uncles, brothers and other male role models an opportunity to spend time with their children in a fun and supportive environment.

CASA of the 7th Judicial District (Court Appointed Special Advocates-CASA) is offering a 10-week "Nurturing Parenting" workshop June 4-Aug. 6. This parenting education class is offered through CASA's Supervised Exchange Parenting Time (SEPT) Program, which provides safe, neutral environments for families in turmoil.

On Monday, June 3, from 6-9 p.m., a portion of all food sales at Wendy's restaurant in Delta will be donated to The Abraham Connection Homeless Shelter to benefit the homeless and hungry of Delta County, and to raise funds for a permanent shelter. Come have dinner and help your local community at the same time.
