A funeral service was held Sept. 5 at Mountain View Bible Church in Lazear, with Pastor Jim Jesser officiating. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery in Hotchkiss.

Mrs. Rollins was born March 18, 1919, in Oshkosh, Neb., to Frank and Mary (King) Kleist. She spent her childhood and attended school in Oshkosh, Neb.

She married Forrest Rollins on June 4, 1938, in Julesburg. They lived in Nebraska, Idaho, Kansas and eastern Colorado before moving to Redlands Mesa near Hotchkiss in February 1955. She and her husband celebrated 52 years of marriage. He died Oct. 9, 1990.

Mrs. Rollins was a lab technician at Skyland Foods for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening, collecting salt and pepper shakers, and making quilts for her family.

She is survived by a daughter, Gail Acedo of Hotchkiss; four sons and their wives, Robert and Mary Rollins of Odessa, Texas, Larry and Bonnie Rollins of Crawford, Merlen and Linda Rollins of Chandler, Ariz., and Lucky and Gayle Rollins of Prescott, Ariz.; a sister, Edith Wilson of North Platte, Neb.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Rollins was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Rollins; four brothers, Ted, Neal, Kenneth and Lorin; and two sisters, Loretta and Doris.
