A graveside funeral service was held Oct. 17 at Riverside Cemetery in Hotchkiss.
Mrs. Jordan was born March 20, 1923, in Montrose, to Louie and Helen (Walker) Epps. She and her family moved to Hotchkiss in 1935 and lived on Rogers Mesa. She graduated from Hotchkiss High School in 1941.
She married Paul Jordan on Dec. 25, 1945, on Rogers Mesa. They celebrated over 64 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on June 16, 2008.
Mrs. Jordan was a bookkeeper. She was elected in 1992 as the treasurer for the Hotchkiss-Crawford Historical Society and held that post for many years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post #9333 and Hotchkiss Elks Lodge #1807 Emblem Club. She enjoyed the mountains, gardening, crafts, cake decorating and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sons and their wives, Robert and Ann Jordan of Rogers Mesa, and David and Jean Jordan of Rangely; a daughter, Irene Jordan of Rogers Mesa; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may me made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
