Proceeds from a spaghetti dinner on Sunday, Nov. 15, will help Delta High School sophomore Mariah Donathan attend a two week European music tour. Donathan is one of 16 students nominated by DHS band co-directors to attend the Colorado Ambassadors of Music program. The trip will cost about $5,000 per student, and each is responsible for raising their own money. The spaghetti dinner will be held at the Delta Elks Lodge on Sunday, Nov. 15, and doors open at 6 p.m. A silent auction, featuring gift certificates to Delta merchants and restaurants, beauty products, jewelry and more will be available, and the Mike Collins Band will entertain. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for kids 12 and under, and may be purchased in advance by calling Donathan at 874-4627. Tickets will also be available at the door. The group will tour, sightsee and perform in seven countries in Europe in July.
