| Snyer to speak on climate controversy |

Guest speaker for the Nov. 17 meeting of the Surface Creek Republican Women will be Bill Snyer. He will present an overview of the “Global Warming/Climate Change Controversy.” Surface Creek Republican Women meet at noon in the Community Room of the Delta Public Library, 211 W. 6th Street. A light buffet will be served, and then following a short business meeting Snyer will give his presentation., Snyer has a degree in chemistry from CSU. He was a senior research engineer/scientist for over 32 years at the University of Denver. His professional career involved contractual research programs with the Denver Research Institute while at Denver University. He retired in 1993. For the last 10 years he has studied and obtained information from a number of scientific and related organizations on global warming and the controversy surrounding carbon dioxide emissions. He will present a brief review of the carbon dioxide controversy followed by a DVD presentation entitled “Policy Peril.”. The DVD is narrated by Marlo Lewis, Ph.D. and senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, Washington, D.C.
