Mrs. Evans was born Dec. 2, 1923, in Las Animas, to Harry and Rowena (Burt) Kinsley.
She married Robert Evans on Sept. 3, 1942, in Raton, N.M. He died Oct. 18, 2009.
Mrs. Evans was a 4-H leader and horsewoman. She was a member of Cedar Mesa Club, Women’s Saddle Club in Cedaredge, and Grand Mesa VFW Auxiliary Post #9221. She enjoyed hunting and fishing.
She is survived by a son and his wife, Larry and Iris Evans of Bennett; a daughter and her husband, Diane and Mike Dea of Whitewater; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held in the spring.
