Sign up today at Bill Heddles Recreation Center in Delta for “Alive at 25,” a defensive driving course taught by a Colorado State Patrol trooper. The “Alive at 25” course, offered to drivers in the 15- to 24-year-old age group, consists of approximately four hours of classroom instruction and is designed to prevent traffic violations, collisions, and/or fatalities. The focus of the program is on getting the attendees to be aware of typical driving hazards. The class will be held Tuesday, Jan. 19, from 4:30 to 9 p.m. The fee is $30 ($75 if court mandated), cash or credit only. No checks will be accepted. Pre-registration is required 48 hours in advance. Remember to bring a sack lunch. To register, call 874-0923.
