Erin Burr and Mary Jones, both of Delta, were among about 775 undergraduate and graduate students who received degrees during the University of Northern Colorado fall graduation ceremonies Dec. 11-12. Burr received a bachelor of arts in foreign language and graduated cum laude. Jones received a bachelor of arts in sociology and graduated cum laude. *** Alicia Zentmeyer of Delta has been inducted into the Tennessee Kappa Chapter of the Alpha Chi National Honor Scholarship Society at Lipscomb University. Zentmeyer, a home school graduate and music major, is one of 69 undergraduate and graduate students inducted into the prestigious society. Alpha Chi is a national college scholarship honor society that promotes outstanding character and academic excellence in all disciplines. Undergraduate inductees into the Tennessee Kappa Chapter have completed at least 24 semester hours at Lipscomb, represent the top 10 percent of the junior class and the top 10 percent of the senior class, and exemplify Alpha Chi’s core values. The inductees were honored at a Nov. 5 ceremony with speaker Dr. Dennis Loyd, retired professor in the Lipscomb Department of English and former dean of students.
