 Mr. Anderson was born Jan. 8, 1952, to Horace and Ruth Anderson. He spent his childhood in Delta. He graduated from Delta High School in 1970.
He married Lark Lawson in 1977. They lived in Montrose, Delta, and Somerset before moving to Carbondale in 1986. The marriage ended in divorce in 2005. Mr. Anderson returned to Delta and later moved to Grand Junction.
Mr. Anderson enjoyed cooking, feeding others, fishing, his dogs, Murphey and Mecca; his family and sharing his garden produce. He was a carpenter, surveyor and worked in property maintenance for Pitkin Housing Authority and Bray and Company in Grand Junction.
He is survived by his parents, Ruth and Horace Anderson; two sisters, Joyce Anderson and Debbie Anderson; his children, Elissa Nye and her husband Joshua, and Julia Donohoue and her husband Daniel a grandson, Beau Nye; a second grandson, Rylan Donohoue due in March; his former wife, Lark Lawson; and his two dogs, Murphey and Mecca.
A celebration of life will be held this spring.
