Mr. Sheffield was born Feb. 12, 1984, in Grand Junction, to Richard Sheffield and Patricia DeSimone. He spent his childhood on the family ranch in DeBeque. He attended school in DeBeque and Hanksville, Utah. He graduated from high school in 2000.
He attended Utah State University and Phoenix Therapeutic Massage College. He was a nationally certified personal trainer, a professional rodeo cowboy and a licensed massage therapist. He lived in DeBeque and Hanksville, Utah. He traveled extensively before moving to Delta.
Mr. Sheffield was a member of The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. He enjoyed animals, especially horses and dogs, and living the cowboy life.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia DeSimone of Delta; his father, Richard Sheffield of Hanksville, Utah; a brother, Jesse Sheffield of Delta; and two sisters, Naia Sheffield-Giambi and her husband Jeremy of Gilbert, Ariz., and Cassie Sheffield and Brian Sinigcalchi of McKinney, Texas.
