With the recent basketball season completed, area coaches have released All-Conference selections for the season.

Boys’ coach Von Mitchell had a pair of players named to the first team in junior Elias Baier and senior Phillip Decker.

Honorable Mention selections included senior Austin Watson and junior Tim Ashurst.

The Panthers team honored Baier for his play during the season by voting him the MVP for the 2009-2010 campaign.

One other award, the Jack D. Hawkins Award for unwavering support of Delta Panther basketball, went to Wayne and Margie Crick.

On the girl’s side, coach Matt Hamm’s Lady Panthers were honored by league coaches with the selection of Jenni Jones to this year’s 4A WSL All-Conference first team. Teammate Skylyn Webb was chosen for the Honorable Mention squad. Jones is a junior and Webb is a freshman at Delta High School.

Webb was chosen by her teammates as the MVP in 2009-2010. The Jack D. Hawkins Award for the girls went to Sadie Carrillo.
