The Ride the Rockies bicycle tour, which is scheduled to spend a night in Hotchkiss on June 14, has announced that it plans to award one $5,000 grant to a local non-profit organization.
To qualify, applicant organizations must provide services for low-income children and youth through recreation, education, or the arts and/or agencies that offer direct-service literacy programs. Applications may be picked up by contacting Hotchkiss Chamber of Commerce president Nathan Sponseller at 872-5031 or at nsponseller@tds.net. Application deadline is April 3.
