Cub Scouts compete in Pinewood Derby Print E-mail

FOURTEEN CUB SCOUTS participated in Pack 485’s annual Pinewood Derby.
Cub Scout Pack 485 held its annual Pinewood Derby on Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Delta Middle School gymnasium. Fourteen Cub Scouts competed. There was also an “open class” race for parents and siblings. The Cub Scouts were Kaleb Baxter, Shad Lewis, Tyler Neil, Andy Osten, and Easton Seuell, first grade; Tucker Mock, second grade; Brandon Flores, Brandon Harper, EJ Morris, Thomas Neil, Justin Seitmann, and Josh Onkin, third grade; Dustin Bravo, fourth grade; and Chase Seuell, fifth grade. The “open class” competitors were Rick Thornton, Barry Bullard, Danny James, Ida Mae Morris, Chad Baxter, Daniel Neil, and Parker Avondt.

The Cub Scout Pack race winners were Chase Seuell, first; Brandon Harper, second; and Thomas Neil, third. The Cub Scout design winners were Brandon Flores, first; Dustin Bravo, second; and Shad Lewis, third.

The open class winners were Rick Thornton, first; Barry Bullard, second; and Danny James, third.
Pack 485 extends a sincere thank you to Cadet Martinez and Cadet Albrecht from the Delta-Montrose Technical College Law Enforcement Academy for their assistance as judges. Thanks also to Delta Middle School for the use of its facility and Ed Sisson for being the “head mechanic.”
