The ball popped out of the grasp of Colorado Rocky Mountain School’s goalkeeper during last week’s soccer game in Delta. Hoping to take advantage of the miscue is Delta’s Amber Farr. Watching the action for Delta (far right) is Carissa Sidor. Delta regrouped from a 5-2 loss in Glenwood on Tuesday for a 5-0 victory against CRMS.
A Saturday visit from Colorado Rocky Mountain School, of Carbondale, resulted in a 5-0 decision for Delta.

Glenwood Springs 5, Delta 2

The Lady Demons scored the game's first three goals before Brooke Gardner gave the Panthers a late first-half goal.

Second-half play was much the same as the first as far as scoring went. The Lady Demons scored first and often with three goals.

Delta got its second goal of the game on a Breann Sharr assist to Amber Farr. Delta took nine shots in the game with Rachelle Litsheim, Gardner, and Farr taking two shots each.

Defensively, the Panthers played well enough but the offensive side of play didn't generate enough shots. The Panthers fell to 4-5 with the loss.

This mishandled ball in front of the net could have been costly for Colorado Rocky Mountain School last Saturday. A shot attempt came loose from the keeper’s hands and caused a great amount of action before it could be secured again. Amber Farr (20) broke free of the tangled mass of bodies but could not convert the kick for a goal.

Delta 5, CRMS 0

This game was all Delta from the onset. The Lady Panthers picked up two quick goals from Farr in the first half. Sadie Carrilo assisted Farr in the first goal.

Delta's third goal came off the foot of Gardner after she had received a pass from Litsheim. The final goal of the half was scored by Litsheim.

Delta picked up one more goal in the second half on their way to the 5-0 shutout.

Defensively, the Lady Panthers were dominating throughout the contest. Most of the first half was played in the face of Colorado Rocky Mountain School's goal keeper.
