| Memorial Day services offered throughout North Fork Valley |

North Fork residents have a number of events happening for Memorial Day, beginning in Crawford on Sunday, May 24. The Lynch-Cotten American Legion Post #190 will have services at the Crawford cemetery at 11 a.m.
The Fruitland Mesa Club will prepare and serve a homestead beef dinner with the assistance of the Needlerock Club and the Maher-Onion Valley Club on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The dinner, just $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12 years, will be served in the Crawford Community United Methodist Church annex. The Needlerock Club will have handmade crafts and other items for sale in the church yard. The Wilson-Head American Legion Post and Auxiliary #97 will perform four Memorial Day services on Monday, May 25 beginning at Somerset cemetery at 9 a.m., followed in Paonia by a 10 a.m. service at Cedar Hill Cemetery, a 10:30 service at the Highway 187 bridge and an 11 o'clock service at Bethlehem Cemetery. On Monday at 10 a.m. at the Riverside Cemetery in Hotchkiss, the Black Canyon Veterans of Foreign Wars and Ladies Auxiliary #9333 will hold a service.
