Mrs. Andrews was born Aug. 30, 1942, in St. Charles, Mo., to Alfred and Alberta (Wanick) McCarty.
She married David Andrews on Sept. 23, 1960. He survives.
Mrs. Andrews enjoyed fishing, cooking, crocheting, traveling, watching NASCAR races and Bronco games, playing bingo and caring for her family.
She is survived by her mother, Alberta Lavy of Cedaredge; her husband, David Andrews of Silverton; two daughters, Katrina Tookey and her husband James of Golden Valley, Ariz., and Deborah Smith of Hotchkiss; a son, David "Butch" Andrews Jr. of Denver; two sisters and their husbands, Mary and Jerry Huston of Cedaredge, and Margie and Dan Porter of Colbran; a brother, William McCarty of New Mexico; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by her father, Alfred McCarty; a brother, James McCarty; a sister, Virginia Lavy; and a son-in-law, Timothy Smith.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 25, at 10 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Hotchkiss, with Father Bill Nelson officiating.
