Iona Wood of Cedaredge died Feb. 5, 2017. She was 82.
A graveside service was held Feb. 13 at Mesa View Cemetery in Delta. Pastor Dennis Scroggins presided.
Iona Ream was born Sept. 3, 1934, in Austin. She attended schools in Delta and worked in the food service industry and as a private home caregiver.
She married DG Goode. He preceded her in death. She later married Glenn Wood. He also preceded her in death.
She was a member of Grand Mesa Baptist Church, where she enjoyed the hymns. She also enjoyed potlucks, jewelry, TV, yard sales, eating out, knick-knacks, friends, yard work and her cat, Goldy.
She is survived by a stepdaughter, Sharon Butler; a brother, William Ream and his wife; a sister, Margaret McHannah; five nephews; five nieces; a stepgrandson; and a stepgranddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; a brother, Warren Ream; and her companion, Jerry Maxwell.
At about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, officers of the Delta Police Department were dispatched to a robbery reported at Arby's, located at 107 Gunnison River Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.
The suspect was reported to have walked into Arby's and after a brief conversation with an employee, was able to leave the store with a small amount of cash and coins.
