Are you looking for a new, fun activity to learn? Are you looking for something that provides "easy exercise" and great mental stimulation? Try square dancing! It's hip to be square, so come for lessons beginning Thursday, Nov. 5, from 7-9 p.m., at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1000 Pioneer Road, Delta. Sponsored by the Delta Hub Wheelers square dance club, these classes are your chance to join the growing square dance movement.

All ages are welcome. Square dancing is a great family activity or something couples and singles can enjoy. Partners are not required.

Lessons will be held weekly, on Thursdays, at the same time and location, through early 2016. The first session on Nov. 5 will be free. After that, sessions are only $5 per person, per week and lessons will be led by instructor Naaman Moorehouse of Grand Junction, a popular area dance caller.

Give square dancing a try for the first two or three sessions. Many romances have begun on the square dance floor, and many married couples have been dancing together for decades. The Delta Hub Wheelers have regular dances scheduled on the first and third Saturdays, monthly, at 7 p.m., in the Bill Heddles Recreation Center's aerobic room. All are welcome to come and watch the regular dancers at no charge.

For more information on the classes or the club, contact Helen Chandler at 856-4187, or Moorehouse at 970-433-7854.
