James F. Loving, age 75, of Salt Lake City, Utah went to be home with his Lord on Dec. 15, 2015, at Regional West Medical Center, Scottsbluff, Neb.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
James was born Dec. 18, 1939, at Telluride, Colo., to Virgil and Mary (Atchley) Loving. He received his early education at Delta, Colo., schools.
He moved to Salt Lake City, Utah around 20 years of age. While in Utah, he worked for Savage Trucking out of Salt Lake City, Utah. He retired from Savage Trucking.
James is survived by four siblings, Virginia (Loving) Alfred of Scottsbluff, Neb., Opal (Loving) Putney of Olathe, Colo., Jerry (Debbie) Loving of Oilton, Okla., and Kathy (Loving) Kallas of Kearns, Utah; two children, Gregory Overturf of Wendover, Utah, and Stacy Loving of San Francisco, Calif., plus grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
James was preceded in death by: parents, siblings Mary (Loving) Alfred, Laura (Loving-Grover) Lacy and Richard Loving.
On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
