Lifetime Crawford resident Jean Clark died Feb. 15, 2017, at Horizons Care Center in Eckert. She was 92.
A celebration of life service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Crawford Community United Methodist Church in Crawford with Rev. Tonya Whaley officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Crawford.
Irma Jean Kraai was born Aug. 31, 1924, to Henry and Agnes (Olson) Kraai in Crawford. She graduated from Crawford High School in 1943. After graduation, she attended Central Business College in Denver.
On Feb. 18, 1948, she married Marvin Clark in Wheatridge.
Mrs. Clark valued hard work; she was a rancher's daughter and then a rancher's wife. She worked for over 30 years at Rogers Mesa Fruit in the packing shed in Lazear.
She was a member of the Crawford Community United Methodist Church, Crawford Mesa Club, Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, Black Mesa Cowbells, of which she was a charter member, Crawford Cemetery District, Crawford Library Board, Hotchkiss-Crawford Historical Museum and the North Fork Senior Citizen Board.
She is survived by her children, David (Angie) Clark of Parachute, Arlie (Kay) Clark, Elton (Karmen) Clark and Charlotte (Mark) Lubin, all of Crawford; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Clark; and a brother, Robert Kraai.
