Jeanette Marie Habenicht of Hotchkiss died Nov. 18, 2016. She was 75.
She was born at home in Arvada to Leamon and Virginia Fletcher on Oct. 21, 1941. She graduated from Arvada High School in 1959. She earned her BSN from the University of Colorado Boulder. Mrs. Habenicht worked as a registered nurse for 48 years.
In April 1965, she married Richard Pons in Denver. They had two children before he died in 1971.
On Nov. 26, 1977, she married Bill Habenicht, who was the father of three children. They moved to Hotchkiss in June 1999.
Mrs. Habenicht was a member of the Red Hat Society and Rogers Mesa Modern Women. She enjoyed being involved in the community, taking part in Bible studies and watching her grandchildren play sports.
She is survived by her husband of almost 39 years, Bill Habenicht of Hotchkiss; sister, Claressa Fletcher of Paonia; children, Glenda Young of Hotchkiss, Mark (Shay) Pons of Florida, David Habenicht of Lakewood, Suzy (Scott) Humble of Highlands Ranch; grandchildren, Mariah and Darrin Young of Hotchkiss and Izzy Humble of Highlands Ranch.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Pons; and son, Bill Habenicht.
Services have taken place.

At about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, officers of the Delta Police Department were dispatched to a robbery reported at Arby's, located at 107 Gunnison River Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.
The suspect was reported to have walked into Arby's and after a brief conversation with an employee, was able to leave the store with a small amount of cash and coins.
