Jeremy James Bryant died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at his home in Eckert. He was 27.
Mr. Bryant was born in Glenwood Springs March 3, 1989, to Jay Bryant and Jackie Welch. He attended school in Crawford, Gypsum, Hotchkiss and Rifle.
He worked in construction. He enjoyed fishing, rebuilding engines and tinkering with anything mechanical.
He is survived by his grandmother, Betty Welch; parents, Jackie Welch and Jay Bryant; a son, Jeremy Jack "JJ" Bryant of Eckert; three brothers, Jason (Elizabeth) Bryant, Thomas (Jana) Welch and Jacob (Stephanie) Hattstaedt; two sisters, Monica Hattsteadt and ReBecca Bryant; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Emmert Welch.

On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
