Crawford resident Jerry Nels Beall died Jan. 1, 2018, at his home. He was 72.
He was born on Aug. 28, 1945, in Crawford to Lester and Mildred (Rodstrom) Beall. He spent his childhood in Crawford and graduated from Hotchkiss High School in 1963.
He was an aircraft mechanic in the U.S. Air Force for 25 years, then worked at a trade school in California. He moved back to Crawford after he retired.
He was a member of the Crawford Community United Methodist Church, Hotchkiss Elks Lodge and the Experimental Aircraft of America Association. He enjoyed rebuilding old cars and flying.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy and Bob; and one sister, Mary Ann Yates.
