Longtime Delta resident Ione "Jo" Hendrickson died Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. She was 72.
A visitation will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, March 25, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Mesa View Cemetery in Delta.
Mrs. Hendrickson was born in Maher July 11, 1943, to Charlie and Maxine Burch. She grew up in Crawford and graduated from Crawford High School in 1962.
She was a member of Hotchkiss Emblem Club, Alpacas, and was a former member of the Red Hat Ladies. She enjoyed crocheting, plastic canvas, embroidering and playing cards with family and friends.
Mrs. Hendrickson is survived by two sons, Charlie (Becky) Hendrickson of Delta and Earl Hendrickson of Burley, Idaho; her mother, Maxine Burch; two brothers, Clair Burch of the Denver area and Barney Burch of the Front Range; a sister, Cheryl Minerich; a granddaughter, Alyssa Hendrickson; and a grandson, Gage Hogue.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Burch.
Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory is handling the arrangements.

On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
