Katherine "JoAnn" Anderson died May 23, 2016. She was 73.
She was born in Monte Vista Sept 26, 1942, to Lewin and Alice (Valentine) Woolley. She attended school in Monte Vista until her senior year when she moved to Moreland, Okla., to help her grandparents. She graduated in 1960 then attended X-ray technician school in Colorado Springs.
In 1963 she married Robert "Bob" Anderson of Center. They moved to Grand Junction in 1968, and to Delta 10 years later. They started Anderson Farm Supply in 1993 and retired in 2014.
Mrs. Anderson was involved in Partners and Altrusa, and was a member of the Hotchkiss Emblem Club for 35-plus years. She enjoyed her family, being a grandmother, and the Denver Broncos, especially John Elway.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; her son, Jeff (Tammy) Anderson; her daughter, Pam (David) Kuta, all of Delta; her siblings, Ruth (Bill) Carson of Hotchkiss, Ona (Fred) Ginter of Wheatridge, Frances (Harold) Scidmore of Monte Vista and Bob (Cathy) Woolley of Pueblo; a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen David of Alamosa; and extended family.
Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Raymond David.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 31, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel.

On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
