Judy Johns-Hoskins

Hotchkiss resident Judy Johns-Hoskins died Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. She was 64.

A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Glenwood Springs. Interment followed at Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs.

Judy Johns was born in Glenwood Springs June 7, 1952, to Lee and Mable (Tasso) Johns. She spent her childhood and attended school in Glenwood Springs. She graduated from Glenwood Springs High School and attended Glenwood Beauty Academy.

She owned and operated the Glenwood Café for 22 years. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Glenwood Springs, where she taught religious education for five years. She was a lifetime member of FOE #215. She moved to Hotchkiss five years ago and became a member of St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church.

Ms. Johns-Hoskins enjoyed reading, children and playing with her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her sisters, Dona (Ted) Caughman of Hotchkiss and Janie Daniels of Glenwood Springs; and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Morris Johns.
