Karen Marie Todd died Nov. 9, 2015, at her home on Cottonwood Creek Road in Crawford after a three-year battle with brain cancer. She was 50.

She was born in Delta Feb. 20, 1965, to Franklin and Dixie (Deutsch) Filener. She graduated from Paonia High School in 1983.

On June 24, 1983, she married Dale Orr. They lived in Gresham, Ore., for 10 years. The marriage ended in divorce. They had three daughters, Kia, Amanda and Kristin.

She moved back to Crawford where she married Monty Todd March 20, 2000. She became the stepmother to Brady, Lyndsey and Tristen.

Mrs. Todd enjoyed the ranching lifestyle. She was involved with many local organizations.

She is survived by her husband, Monty Todd of Crawford; four daughters, Kia (Devon) Packard of Portland, Ore., Amanda Orr and Kristin Orr, both of Grand Junction, and Lyndsey Todd of Crawford; two sons, Brady Todd and Tristen Todd, both of Crawford; a sister, Kay (Darrell) Ashburn of Crawford; two brothers, Glen (Kathy) Filener of Fruita and Cleve (Pam) Filener of Olathe; and extended family.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Anita Filener; her parents, Dixie and Franklin Filener; and a brother, John Filener.

Services were held at Heritage Hall Nov. 12.
