Delta resident Katherine "Katie" Hollenbeck died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, at her mother's home in Delta. She was 44.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at Delta First Assembly of God with Veronica Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Delta City Cemetery.
Ms. Hollenbeck was born in Delta May 10, 1971, to Mark and Sharon (McMichael) Hollenbeck. She was a lifetime resident of Delta and graduated from New Life Christian School at Delta First Assembly of God.
She was a member of Delta First Assembly of God. She enjoyed doing things with her church, being with people, working with flowers and volunteering at Delta County Memorial Hospital and Garnet Mesa Elementary School.
She is survived by her mother, Sharon Hollenbeck of Delta; a brother, Todd (Nichole) Hollenbeck and their children, Austin, Dylan, Hana and Greyson, all of Delta; aunts and uncles, Charley and Jeanie Fobare of Erie, David and Barbara Koll of Battle Mountain, Nev., Verne and Peggy Hollenbeck of Purcell, Mo., and Sharlynn Hollenbeck of Grand Juncion.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mark.

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
