The Colorado Rockies Skills Challenge consists of boys and girls in different age groups between 6 and 13 competing in the fundamentals of batting, base running and throwing. Keely Porter competed in the 12-13 girls group at Metro State University on Aug. 6 where she took first place. Keely was then recognized that evening at the Rockies vs. Marlins game during the pre-game festivities. She got to go down on the field and meet a couple of the players and was even announced on the big screen with all of the other winners. This is the third year Keely has won at the state level.
