Kenneth Duane McCain died Nov. 3, 2016, in Yuma, Ariz. He was 83.

Services have already taken place.

He was born in Yuma, Ariz., on July 16, 1933. He moved to Olathe as a young child and attended Olathe High School. He joined the Navy shortly after. He moved back to the area and farmed on California Mesa.

On Nov. 22, 1951, he married his wife Lois. Although some of his occupations throughout the years included farming and truck driving, he is primarily remembered by his friends and family as being an expert at repairing cars. Because of his special fondness for working on Volkswagons, he was fondly called "the bug man."

He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was baptized Oct. 22, 1955 in Center.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 65 years, Lois; daughter, Jaylynn of Yuma, Ariz.; two sons, Brian and Darren, both of Delta; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and his brother, Monte.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly; and his daughter, Brenda.
