Kenny Lavon Wallace died Oct. 20, 2017, of congestive heart failure. He was 63.
Cremation has taken place; a private memorial service will be held.
He was born on April 1, 1954, to Chester and Rachel Wallace in Searcy, Ark.
Mr. Wallace was a preacher in Waterflow, N.M., before moving to Austin where he owned and operated Ken's Upholstery until he retired in 2014.
He enjoyed music and was a member of the Rhythm of the Dons band for many years. He was known as a jack of all trades.
Survivors include his parents, Chester and Rachel Wallace of Cuero, Texas; sister, Jo-Leah Wallace Tilbury of Nashville, Tenn.; daughter, Rachel (Jeff) Erickson of New Zealand; son, Joshua (Shannon) Wallace, stationed at an Air Force base in Japan; and two grandsons, Dylon Wallace of New Braunfels, Texas, and Evan Wallace of Japan.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Benny Wallace.
