A Kidz Clinic is starting its fourth year as part of the Delta County School District, with the goal of increasing the physical and mental well-being of children in our communities. A Kidz Clinic is an integrated clinic offering medical, mental/behavioral, and dental health services while providing the greatest quality of care and building lasting relationships with patients and their families.
A Kidz Clinic was accepted into the Colorado State Innovation Model (SIM), a federally funded, governor's office initiative that helps primary care providers deliver whole-person care. It is one of five practices in Delta County to be accepted into the federally funded, governor's office initiative, which runs through July 2019.
Come support A Kidz Clinic and 10 other nonprofit organizations participating in CASA's second annual Dancing with the Stars event on Sunday, March 5 in Montrose.
CASA is "sharing the love" by inviting other nonprofits to participate this year, with each team keeping the donations made on their behalf.
A new executive director is on board at A KidZ Clinic, the school-based health clinic operated by Delta County Joint School District #50 in partnership with the Center for Mental Health, Community Dental Clinic and Pediatric Associates.
The clinic, which opened in July 2014, has suffered some growing pains, including staff turnover which led to the selection of Joey Montoya Boese as the new director.
