The second annual Deltarado Days Golf Tournament, hosted by First Colorado National Bank, was played under sunny skies and mild temperatures last Sunday at Devil's Thumb Golf Club.

There were 71 golfers who played on 18 teams at last Sunday's Deltarado Days Weekend annual Delta Alumni Association Golf Tournament held at Devil's Thumb Golf Club. First Colorado National Bank was the sponsoring organization offering a variety of prizes for those who played the course.
Though the event this year is being billed as the 81st anniversary, the Deltarado Days celebration started as a week-long event in 1920 and was called "The Annual Farmers Spree." It was held from 1920 to 1936 and was instituted when Holly Sugar was built in Delta.
Deltarado Days is an opportunity for area residents to come together to celebrate our rich agricultural and ranching heritage. This year's theme, "Hats Off to Agriculture," embraces that heritage, as does the selection of Virginia Shea as parade grand marshal.
