Partners Mentoring has served kids in Delta, Montrose and Ouray counties for more than three decades and the annual Partners auction plays a crucial role in providing high quality mentoring programs. The auction, Partners largest fundraising event, kicks off on Monday, April 30, with items closing daily until May 4.
For 20-plus years, Betsy Shepherd has been the face of Partners in Delta County.
Her title is currently program director for Partners of Delta, Montrose and Ouray County, but during her career, she says she has done it all.
Local businesses in Delta County are competing against each other to sell the most turkey hands to help the Partners mentoring program and children in our community. Please spend a dollar and buy a turkey hand when you go out to eat at either Taco Time or CB's Tavern.
Partners of Delta, Montrose and Ouray is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building one-to-one mentoring partnerships between young people and responsible, caring adults. Spending an average of three hours a week with a local child, volunteers have a supported opportunity to make a positive difference in the life of a child.
Partners of Delta, Montrose and Ouray will be the first recipient of a donation from the Town of Hotchkiss after council voted unanimously to give the organization a $250 donation for 2016 at the Dec. 10 council meeting. The town has donated to Partners in the past, with the last donation being made in 2012.
