Paonia grew by 2.54 acres last week when the Board of Trustees voted 4-2 to adopt an annexation application for two parcels of land submitted by Andrew Thliveris. The parcels are located adjacent to the Paonia Public Library.
While awaiting annexation into the town, Berg Harvest Mercantile, located adjacent to the Paonia Library is open and doing well, said Lauren Thliveris. Thliveris represented Andrew Thliveris at the July 26 Paonia hearing for annexation of two lots into the town.
The Paonia Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 26, to consider approval of a petition for annexation of two parcels of unincorporated land in Delta County.
Applicant Andrew Thliveris has requested annexation of Thliveris Parcels 1 and 2, which total about 2.54 acres of land currently zoned agricultural by Delta County and located directly across Third Street from the Paonia Public Library.
