The size of the county's labor force has increased over the past year, but so has the number of people reported as employed. A report on Colorado's employment situation released last week shows a total labor force of 14,841 in November 2017, up about a thousand from November 2016.
According to the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, the state unemployment rate increased one-tenth of a percentage point in July to 3.8 percent.
In Delta County, unemployment was estimated at 5.1 percent, compared to 5.8 percent in the month of June.
According to the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, the state the unemployment rate decreased two-tenths of a percentage point in November to 3.6 percent. That places state unemployment at the lowest level since June 2007.
