From the Delta Police Department:

Feb. 1:

Charges are being filed against Shawn L. Willshire, 40, of Delta for alleged violation of a protection order and stalking.

A 17-year-old female of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged failed to yield right of way at a stop sign after being involved in a two-vehicle crash at 5th and Hartig. No injuries were reported or observed. One vehicle was towed from the scene.

Feb. 2:

Kenneth J. Torsiello, 48, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged harassment.

Feb. 4:

Glenda L. Walker, 58, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged shoplifting.

Feb. 5:

Gary L. Ellis, 19, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged unlawful acts.

Feb. 6:

Cabel Zane Rhode, 39, of Delta was arrested and jailed on a warrant with no bond.

Jennifer M. Barnett, 21, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged trespass.

Feb. 7:

Anthony J. Viljoen, 32, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged required positions when turning, failed to present evidence of insurance and DUI.

Citations: 16 tickets for traffic violations were issued this week, eight for speeding.

Feb. 1:

A man living on F Road in Delta filed a complaint about dogs killing his chickens.

A pickup driven by Eric Dyer, 31, of Cedaredge slid off Cactus Park Road at about 8 p.m. The pickup rolled halfway and was being held in position by a phone line. Dyer escaped serious injury.

Feb. 2:

Deputies investigating a possible theft on Alkali Basin Road, Delta, determined the issue was related to an ongoing civil dispute over property boundaries.

A Crawford woman complained of harassing messages from an ex-boyfriend via text and Facebook.

Feb. 4:

A bank-owned home in Austin was reportedly ransacked and several items were missing, including guns.

Feb. 5:

The assistance of sheriff's deputies and child protective services was requested by a Colorado State Patrol trooper who pulled over a driver suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and the children were taken into protective custody.
