From the Delta Police Department:
Oct. 26:

A 16-year-old male of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged shoplifting.

Nancy J. Clairday, 52, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged unsafe backing after being involved in a two-vehicle crash in the 100 block of E. 4th Street. No injuries were reported or observed. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

Elise F. Johnson, 30, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged trespass.

Oct. 27:

Jeremy M. Kuzov, 36, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged criminal mischief and violation of a restraining order.

Oct. 30:

Jennaraye B. Kuzov, 27, of Crawford was arrested and jailed for alleged criminal mischief.

Kenneth C. Meagher, 39, of Delta was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $1,500 bond.

Oct. 31:

Sheri L. Blanton, 34, of Cedaredge was issued a ticket for alleged shoplifting.

Nov. 1:

Brittnee M. Kramer, 25, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged child abuse - simple.

Citations: Four tickets for traffic violations were issued this week, two for speeding.

Please remember: All criminal charges are merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty.

Oct. 26:

At 7:36 a.m., Deputy Buffington responded to Stevens Gulch Road for a one-vehicle accident with reported injuries. Officer Ferguson of the Paonia Police Department and the North Fork Ambulance were also on the scene. A 2005 Ford F350 pickup slid off the side of the road and several feet down an embankment, landing on its left side. An unidentified female was transported to the hospital.

Oct. 28:

A Paonia area resident reported suspicious activity at his ranch, including a gate that was left open and an injured horse.

Sheriff's deputies responded to a domestic incident in Eckert. The victim alleged Shane Hager, 38, threw a kitchen table at her, broke the phone and dragged her by the hair. He had left the premises, but a warrant was issued for his arrest, charging Hager with criminal mischief, harassment and domestic violence. The female, Jennifer Barton, 29, was arrested on an unrelated warrant.

Oct. 29:

Meter tampering was alleged at a home on 3100 Road outside of Hotchkiss. Electricity was turned off to the home until a state inspection could be conducted. The sheriff's office reports the theft appears to be related to a marijuana grow operation in the neighborhood.

A disoriented male, described as 75 to 80 years in age, was headed toward the river. Deputies were asked to conduct a welfare check.

The theft of a generator and a chainsaw was reported from a garage on 2600 Road near Cedaredge. The generator was a red Honda Powermate 350 valued at $400. The chainsaw was an orange Stihl 660 with a 30-inch bar valued at $1,600. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 874-8810.

Oct. 30:

A man making deliveries on Minnesota Creek Road outside of Paonia came across a male lying in the middle of the road. He was unconscious and an ATV was parked nearby. It was later determined the 74-year-old man may have been the victim of an assault. The investigation is active and ongoing.

Oct. 31:

Cedaredge firefighters were called to a home on Columbine Lane, Cedaredge, after the home-

owners heard a loud pop and saw smoke pouring out of the attic. The fire was likely electrical in nature. There was some damage to the home.

Ruben Mojarro-Martinez, 30, of Paonia was charged with DUI after he allegedly drove his pickup through a fence and into a field on Stewart Mesa Road. Mojarro-Martinez was located at a neighboring residence. He denied he was driving the pickup, but witnesses placed him behind the wheel.
