From the Delta Police Department:
Kathy L. Waugh, 57, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged following too closely after being involved in a two-vehicle crash at 4th and Main streets. No serious injuries were reported or observed. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
Brittnee M. Kramer, 26, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged unlawful possession and distribution of Schedule II controlled substance and speeding 10-19 over.
Robert J. Schmidt, 24, of Austin was arrested and jailed for alleged offenses relating to marijuana and open marijuana container.
Tyler M. Pawlish, 27, of Grand Junction was arrested and jailed for alleged disregarded a stop sign and driving under the influence of marijuana.
Shawna C. L. Loss, 37, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged careless driving and failed to present evidence of insurance after being involved in a one-vehicle crash on Highway 92 at Stafford Lane. There were no serious injuries reported or observed. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
A 15-year-old male and a 13-year-old male, both of Delta, were issued tickets for alleged shoplifting.
Dale A. Hukle, 63, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged reckless driving and DUI after being involved in a one-vehicle crash on Highway 50 near mile marker 67. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Mark A. Porter, 31, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged violation of a protection order x2.
William M. Romero, 43, of Olathe was arrested and jailed on a warrant with no bond.
Walter E. Richardson, 54, of Grand Junction was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $1,000 bond.
Mark A. Porter, 31, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged menacing, violation of a protection order and violation of bail bond conditions.
Jose A. Estrada-Rodriguez, 26, of Hotchkiss was issued a ticket for alleged shoplifting.
Citations: Ten tickets for traffic violations were issued this week, three for speeding.
Please remember: All criminal charges are merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on F Road, Delta, on allegations dogs and puppies were not being properly cared for. They were met by an aggressive pit bull with three puppies and three Pomeranians. All appeared to be healthy, but the sheriff's office will continue to monitor the situation.
A Cedaredge man contacted the sheriff's office about a restraining order for a 26-year-old man who is allegedly "messing around" with his 15-year-old granddaughter.
The possible theft of a dog was investigated at a home on B50 Road, Delta.
Deputies were asked to check on a horse in the Hotchkiss area that appeared to be emaciated. They continue to monitor the situation.
Deputies responded to a medical emergency on Grand Mesa at about 3:15 p.m. Alberto Merlino, 95, of Palisade stopped to use the restroom at a trailhead on Highway 65. A nephew who was driving him got concerned when he failed to come out. He found Alberto on the floor and called 9-1-1.
A Ridgway resident was traveling eastbound on Highway 50 at about 1 a.m. when a bear reportedly jumped in front of his car. The airbags deployed. The driver was not injured but the bear died on scene. The accident occurred at mile post 57 near the turnoff for Escalante Canyon.
An Orchard City resident reported the theft of a brand new cordless circular saw from a yard sale. The 18v Milwaukee saw was on her premises when she closed down the yard sale the previous afternoon, but was gone when she got up in the morning.
A 74-year-old Cedaredge area woman was the victim of an accidental gunshot wound at about 7:30 a.m. Her husband, who was hunting turkeys, had laid his shotgun down on the floor of their house. When he bent down to pick it up, the gun accidentally discharged, striking the woman in the feet. She was transported to Delta County Memorial Hospital. No charges are being pursued.
At about 3:30 a.m., a fire was reported in a greenhouse on Orchard Grove Road in Eckert. No additional details are available.
