From the Delta Police Department:

Aug. 29:

Elvisa Perez, 35, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged harassment. Martin A. Andrade-Avalos, 24, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged harassment and violation of a protection order. Maria G. Gonzalez, 32, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged second degree assault and criminal mischief.

Shane T. Pixler, 40, of Pueblo was issued a ticket for alleged following too closely after being involved in a two-vehicle crash on W. 5th Street at Confluence Drive. No injuries were reported or observed. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

A 13-year-old male of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged disorderly conduct.

Bryce C. LeValley, 27, of Crawford was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $500 bond.

Melissa M. Chaves, 35, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged trespassing.

Aug. 30:

A 16-year-old female of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged following too closely and driving without a valid license after being involved in a two-car crash in the 900 block of E. 7th Street. No injuries were reported or observed. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

Cheryl A. Starr, 68, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged limitations on backing after being involved in a two-car crash in the 700 block of Lincoln Place. No injuries were reported or observed. Both vehicles appeared to be drivable and were not towed from the scene.

Sept. 1:

Brittnee M. Kramer, 26, of Delta was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $1,500 bond.

Jonathon J. Rule, 27, of Delta was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $4,000 bond.

Sept. 3:

Timothy J. Espinoza, 52, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged limitations on backing after being involved in a two-vehicle crash at 5th and Hartig. No injuries were reported or observed. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

Desiree A. Horn (Kerns), 28, of Delta was arrested and jailed on three warrants with a total of $17,500 in bonds.

Donald C. Abeyta Jr., 25, of Delta was arrested and jailed for alleged third degree assault and child abuse.

Sept. 4:

Kenneth A. Bever, 44, of Delta was issued a ticket for alleged shoplifting.

Daniel A. Windemaker, 33, of Austin was arrested and jailed on a warrant with a $1,500 bond.

Citations: Seven tickets for traffic violations were issued this week, two for speeding.

From the Delta County Sheriff's Office (partial list):

Aug. 30:

Dispatch was notified a 77-year-old Cedaredge woman with Alzheimer's had not returned from her routine walk. When the woman's husband and neighbors were unable to locate her, deputies and Delta County Search and Rescue were dispatched to assist. The woman was found a short time later, checked by an EMT and returned to her home.

Aug. 31:

Deputies assisted the Delta Police Department with a case of suspected child sexual abuse.

Sept. 1:

A fire was reported at a ranch at 1606 Peach Valley Road at about 2 a.m. Several large bales of hay were burning. The cause of the blaze is unknown, although the property owners said they had been working in the area earlier in the day.

A resident reported a male was setting up camp on neighboring property on Cougar Mountain Road outside of Hotchkiss. The property is in foreclosure. When contacted, the camper said he thought he was on BLM land.

Sept. 2:

At 1:30 a.m., a single-car rollover was reported on Highway 50 near the Delta-Montrose Technical College. Both the driver, River Glimpse, and a passenger escaped injury. The Colorado State Patrol handled the investigation.

An investigation was launched after a young adult male was accused of an inappropriate sexual relationship with a 14-year-old female.

Sept. 3:

The campground host at Cobbett Lake Campground on Grand Mesa reported a male became belligerent when he could not find an open camping spot. He continued to drive around the campground, then finally drove off. Deputies located him off the road and stuck near Little Bear Campground, about a mile away. Michael McDonald, 37, of Delta was issued a summons for DUI and open alcoholic beverage in his vehicle.

Sept. 4:

Deputies responded to a disturbance at 13775 F Road, Delta. A male party who had been asked to leave the house earlier returned and was engaged in a verbal argument with the female occupant. The two parties were separated for the evening.
