Leroy Thomas "Buzz" Busby died Sept. 1, 2017, at Rhode Island Suites in Ransom, Kan.
He was born on Dec. 8, 1940, to Rubin "Ray" and Muriel (Robb) Busby in Grass Valley, Calif. He moved to Colorado when he was young and went to Nederland High School. He lived most of life in Colorado, but spent some time in Missouri and his last few years in Utica, Kan.
In 1959, he married Gwen Hodgson; they divorced in 1979.
Mr. Busby worked as a hard rock miner, water well driller, construction worker and truck driver for Savage Trucking. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by three children, Lorri, Mike and Ann; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three stepchildren; sister, Alice; and extended family.
He was preceded in death by an infant son and his wife, Susie Busby.
No services are planned at this time.
At about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, officers of the Delta Police Department were dispatched to a robbery reported at Arby's, located at 107 Gunnison River Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.
The suspect was reported to have walked into Arby's and after a brief conversation with an employee, was able to leave the store with a small amount of cash and coins.
