Lily L. Dupper of Grand Junction died Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, at her residence. She was 89.
A public visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 25, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Chapel in Delta.
Graveside service will be Monday, Sept. 26, at 2 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Grand Junction with Rev. John Goley officiating.
Mrs. Dupper was born in Iliff on Sept. 6, 1927, to Adolph and Effie Hielscher. She attended school in Sterling and Iliff.
On Sept. 12, 1948, she married Sam Dupper in Greeley.
She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Fruita. She was in the Monument Riding Club and a volunteer at Fruita Thrift Store She enjoyed painting, gardening, caring for her animals and being outdoors.
Mrs. Dupper is survived by one son, Sam (Libby) Dupper; four daughters, Effie (Sussie) Thompson, Lily (Tiny) Dupper, Sandra (Bob) Davis and Michelle (Shelly) Anderson; one brother, Carl (Rose) Hielscher; and two grandchildren, Mindy Thompson and Garret Dupper. All of her family members live in Grand Junction.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Dupper.
