One of the traditional holiday events for Surface Creek Valley is the Little Sprouts Community Preschool cookie walk that was held last Saturday at the Stolte Shed. The cookie walk is one of the two major fund raising events each year for the preschool.
Little Sprouts Community Preschool has been serving families and their young children in the valley for 21 years. The preschool also holds a fitness event in the spring to raise funds for expenses and scholarships.
Little Sprouts Community Preschool is a local, homegrown program that has developed its early education programs with the direct input of local families and its local community board of directors.
The preschool depends on the support of the community it serves to be able to provide the unique programs and services it offers.
Instructors for the preschool's small class size groups are all certified in early education. The program is housed in its spacious, well-equipped and well-designed classroom facility located next to the Cedaredge Community United Methodist Church.
Parents interested in the school, its programs or scholarship availability for their children are invited to call the school at 970-856-4648 and set up a visit.
