Longtime Delta resident Lois Stephens died at her home Tuesday, April 5, 2016. She was 82.
A funeral service was held Monday, April 11, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delta. Interment followed at Mesa View Cemetery.
Lois Garnet Bauer was born in Sioux County, Neb., March 19, 1934, to Louis and Grace (Hil-ier) Bauer. She spent her childhood in Sioux County and Cedaredge. She attended Cedaredge High School.
On Sept. 24, 1951, she married Everett Stephens in Gering, Neb.
Mrs. Stephens was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed horses, camping and fishing.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Everett Stephens of Delta; two daughters, LeeAnn Sinner and Sheri (Gary) Gates, all of Delta; a brother, Lynn Bauer of Hemmingford, Neb.; a sister, Ruby Monasmith of Crawford, Neb.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a sister; three brothers; and a son-in-law.

At about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, officers of the Delta Police Department were dispatched to a robbery reported at Arby's, located at 107 Gunnison River Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.
The suspect was reported to have walked into Arby's and after a brief conversation with an employee, was able to leave the store with a small amount of cash and coins.
