Louise Marie McCleary died Nov. 16, 2016, at Horizon Care Center. She was 86.
Mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday, Nov. 22, at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Rev. Mark Bettinger and Deacon Price Hatcher officiating. Internment followed at the Mesa View Cemetery.
Louise Marie Coppa was born in Dawson, N.M., July 5, 1930, to Guilio and Josephine (Rudolfo) Coppa. She spent her childhood and received her education in Trinidad.
On Feb. 4, 1950, she married Robert McCleary in Trinidad.
Mrs. McCleary was a member the Altar and Rosary Society and St. Michael's Catholic Church. She was a swim team mom and a Cub Scout and Girl Scout mother. She served as the chairman for the March of Dimes for Delta County for many years. She also volunteered at St. Michael's Catholic Church and at Delta County Memorial Hospital.
She enjoyed reading, watching television, family, her church and church work.
She is survived by two sons, Michael (Vickie) McCleary of Joplin, Mo., and Dr. Robert (Tammy) McCleary Jr. of Logan, W.Va.; two daughters, Debbie (Dan) Sanders of Cedaredge and Kristine (Chuck) Lliteras of Harrisonville, Mo.; a sister, Emma Rankin of Cañon City; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
