Marjorie Grett died March 19, 2017, at her home in Olathe. She was 97.
Marjorie Pearl Boyd was born in Nebraska to Jesse and Flora Mae (Mock) Boyd on Sept. 21, 1919. She spent her childhood and attended school in Brandon.
She married James Grett on Jan. 11, 1937. They celebrated 64 years of marriage before his death.
She enjoyed gardening, dancing, reading, knitting and playing Bunko with her Bunko group.
She is survived by her son, Jesse (Doreen) Grett of Olathe; daughter-in-law, Bobbie Grett of Lakewood; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Grett; daughter, Joy Harris; son, James Lowell Grett; grandchildren, Dawn Conner and Jeffery Grett; two brothers; and two sisters.
A memorial service will take place at 3 p.m. Friday, March 31, at Sunset Mesa Funeral Directors in Montrose.

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
