Marlene Rhodes died Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at her home in Delta. She was 81.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 23, at Western Colorado Holiness Chapel in Delta. Interment will follow at Delta City Cemetery.
Mrs. Rhodes is survived by her husband, Raymond Rhodes of Delta; sons, David (Vicki) Rhodes of Olathe, Phillip Rhodes and Richard (Lydia) Rhodes, all of Delta; daughters, Sharon (Daniel) Schley of Hotchkiss and Sandra January of Delta; three brothers, Phillip Stephens, Gary Craig and John Craig, all of Maryland; three sisters, Norma Stephens, Patsy Craig and Cindy Craig, all of Maryland; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
