Mary Grace Farmer of Cedaredge died Feb. 8, 2017, at Willow Tree Care Center in Delta. She was 97.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Taylor Funeral Service in Delta. Interment will take place at Cedaredge Cemetery with Reverend Joe Agne officiating.
Mrs. Farmer was born in Alamota, Kan., Aug. 1, 1919, to Fred and Elsie (Derr) Perrigo. She spent her childhood in Utica, Kan., and Cedaredge. She graduated from Cedaredge High School in 1938.
On Aug. 7, 1939, she married Harold Farmer in Delta; they were married 52 years.
Mrs. Farmer was a longtime member of the Cedaredge United Methodist Church and Rebekahs Lodge 106 for 73 years. She was active in several clubs and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, cooking and working with her husband on their apple farm.
She is survived by her two sons, Dan (Patty) Farmer of Delta and Jim Farmer of Camarillo, Calif.; one sister, Leona Kissinger of Oro Valley, Ariz.; one granddaughter, Vikki (Scott) Lewis of Delta; one grandson, Les Farmer of Grand Junction; and one great-grandson, Shad Lewis of Delta.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; and her siblings, Willis Perrigo and Marjorie Shiner.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Cedaredge Community United Methodist Church.

At about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, officers of the Delta Police Department were dispatched to a robbery reported at Arby's, located at 107 Gunnison River Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.
The suspect was reported to have walked into Arby's and after a brief conversation with an employee, was able to leave the store with a small amount of cash and coins.
