Mary Anna Sunich of Paonia died Aug. 29, 2017, at Paonia Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was 91.
A viewing will be held Friday, Sept. 8, from 6-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Paonia. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Paonia United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Paonia.
Mrs. Sunich was born March 12, 1926, in Royalton, Pa., to Irene and Raymond Burger.
After leaving school, she worked at Pomeroys Department Store in Harrisburg, Pa., for several years.
On Oct. 3, 1945, she married Edward Sunich Sr. They lived in York Haven, Pa., where they enjoyed the fellowship of the Methodist Church. They moved to Paonia in 1993 and shared 64 years of marriage until Ed's death March 30, 2010.
Mrs. Sunich was a homemaker, dedicated to her faith and family.
She is survived by her son, Edward Sunich Jr. of Paonia; her grandson, Edward (Cindy) Sunich III of Rock Springs, Wyo.; great-granddaughter, Marin Sunich of Rock Springs, Wyo; brothers, Joseph Burger of Lewisberry, Pa., and Ronald Burger of Stelton, Pa.; and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Sunich Sr.; sisters, Geraldine Louck, Ann Setrow and Nancy Hannah; and brothers, Ted Burger and Harold Burger.

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
