Max G. Burns died at his home in Austin Friday, March 18, 2016. He was 77.
He was born in Illinois March 22, 1938, to Miriam and Barney Burns.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Linda; two daughters, Vicky and Brenda, both of Kansas City, Kan.; a son, Marc of Cheyenne, Wyo.; a sister, Nida (Virgil) Brant of Kansas City, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
At his request, no services will be held.

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
